Mr T. Banambar Patra

Mr T. Banambar Patra is one of the foremost entrepreneur from Odisha in India and a pioneer in the Odisha’s hospitality Industry. With a Post Graduate degree in Hotel Management from Ecole Hotelier, Lausanne, Switzerland (World’s oldest hospitality institution), he built Odisha’s first 4-star beach property ‘Toshali Sands Ethnic Village Resort’ in 1982 to promote the vibrant cultural heritage and eco-diversity of Odisha across the world. He is the Founder and Managing Director of M/s T.K. International Ltd which runs chain of resorts across Odisha and India in the name of ‘Toshali’.

Ms Alpana Nayak

Ms Alpana Nayak is an eminent Odissi Guru and Founder President of Association for Learning Performing Arts and Normative Action (A.L.P.A.N.A.), a Delhi based voluntary organization promoting performing arts and facilitating holistic human development. She began her training in Odissi at the age of seven and gained her ‘Nritya Shree’ degree at the tender age of thirteen and ‘NrityaVisharad’ at nineteen. She has performed Odissi Dance Solo in almost all major cities and cultural festivals of India, England, Japan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Mongolia.

She is a graded artist of Doordarshan Kendra Central Unit, empanelled on ICCR and a recipient of Fellowship from Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She is also among the very few exponents of Odissi dance who can train children with disability (physically and mentally challenged) in Indian classical and folk dance forms for their holistic development in the society. Wg. Cdr. Biroja Shankar Singh Deo (Retd.)

Wg. Cdr. B. S. Singh Deo is a former Indian Air Force officer with over 8,000 hours of flying experience in 5 types of aeroplanes and 14 types of helicopters. He graduated from the National Defence Academy in December 1968 and was commissioned in December, 1969. In 1974 he achieved the distinction of becoming the youngest pilot to be cleared to fly VVIPs – a record held to this date. He became the only helicopter pilot in the Indian Air Force to be awarded "A-1" Instructor Category. From 1981 to 1983 he was an instructor in the Helicopter Instructor’s School of the Iraqi Army Aviation Corps in Baghdad.

For pioneering work in Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited, Wg.Cdr. Singh Deo was awarded the "Vayu Sena Medal" by the president of India in 1988. From 1992-95, he was a technical pilot in Malaysian Helicopter Services. He joined Bell Helicopter India in January 1997 and took over as managing director in Jan 1998. Dr Bimalendu Mohanty

Dr Bimalendu Mohanty, after completing his M.A. (History) from Ravenshaw College, Cuttack, obtained the Degree of M.Ed. from Missourie University (U.S.A.) and Ph.D. Degree from Ranchi University. He served as Youth Welfare Officer as well as whole time N.C.C. Officer in Utkal University in the rank of Major in the Ministry of Defence. He then took up assignment of Dean, Students Welfare, Odisha University of Agricultural and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar. He was also the Deputy Program Advisor, N.S.S., Ministry of Education and Culture, Govt of India and Registrar, Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

Dr Mohanty served under Government of Odisha as Director, Sports and Youth Services and Director, Culture –both in the rank of Additional Secretary and the Director, State Resource Centre for Adult Education, Bhubaneswar. Dr Sourendra Kumar Mohapatra

Dr Sourendra Kumar Mohapatra is an Economic Analyst who has worked for many national and international development projects sponsored by Govt of Odisha, Govt of India, UNICEF, DFID, World Bank etc. He is the Director of Industrial Management Consultants of Odisha (IMCO) .Also he used to teach at various universities for last 30 years.

Dr Mohapatra is the Trustee and Governing Body Member of Maha Bodhi Society of India. He is the Secretary of the Kalinga Buddha Vihar (the Maha Bodhi Temple) as well as the Maha Bodhi Society Public School, at Bhubaneswar, both managed by the Odisha centre of the Maha Bodhi Society of India. Dr Sunil Kumar Patnaik

Dr Sunil Kumar Patnaik is an eminent archaeologist as well as the Secretary of the Odishan Institute of Maritime and South East Asian Studies (OIMSEAS), Department of Tourism & Culture, Government of Odisha. He holds a degree of M.A. in Ancient History and PG Diploma in Indian Monuments & Tourism, both from Berhampur University. He did his PhD in Archaeology from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. As an officer of Odisha Tourism Service, Dr Patnaik is associated with several heritage conservation and tourism promotion activities of Odisha since 1992. He was the Project Coordinator for Conservation of Buddhist Heritage of Odisha from 2012-15 and also the Director of Archaeological Excavations at Kankia( Radhanagar) from 2010-12 which was conducted by OIMSEAS.

Mr Sandeep Singh Dingra

Mr Sandeep Dingra is a Delhi based businessman. He is a distributor for North & East India for world's no.1 Japanese company by brand "TAJIMA" manufacturing computerized embroidery machines for high end embellished garments manufactured by top export houses in India. He is also a fashion technologist who imparts training, lectures and conduct seminars on technical know-how on value addition like modern and traditional embroideries for the fashion industry.

Mr Biranchi Mishra

Mr Biranchi Mishra had served the State Government of Odisha in different capacities as a member of the Odisha Tourism Service (OTS) and retired as Joint Director-cum- Deputy Secretary in 2007. With 34 years of professional experience in the Tourism Sector (involving Human Resource Development/Project Planning & Monitoring/Production & Publicity Campaign/Tourism Surveys), he was a Consultant to the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) and Price Water House Coopers (PwC). Born at Rajahmundry (Rajamahendravaram) in Andhra Pradesh, Mr Posina Pramod Kumar Rao has a graduate degree in Hospitality Management & Masters in HR & Marketing. Mr Asit Kumar Patnaik

Mr Asit Kumar Patnaik is a Gold Medalist in M.F.A. (Painting) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He completed his Bachelors in fine art from the Govt College of Art and Crafts at Khallikote, Odisha. A semi realistic painter his narratives revolve around human psyche and interpersonal relationship of people in society. He is a recipient of several awards including National Scholarship & Junior Fellowship from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, in the field of fine arts.

He has exhibited in over 50 solo and group shows in India and abroad Including the 10th annual harmony show, The Florence Biennale 2011,Sasaran International Art Festival, Malaysiya -2014 & The Global art fair Dubai 2015. Ms Susmita Bagchi

Ms Susmita Bagchi is a Banglore based Author. She started writing fiction in Odia in 1982. Her short stories became immensely popular right away because of her unusual themes and simple story-telling style. Her first book, a collection of short stories, received the State Sahitya Akademi award. Though she started as a short story writer, later, around 1992, she stepped into the world of novels. Now she has to her credit seven collections of short stories, eight novels and a travelogue.

Many of Susmita’s stories are translated and published in other languages like Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi and Malayalam. Her novel ‘DebaShishu’ was translated into English and published by Penguin as ‘Children of a Better God’ in September 2010 to great critical acclaim. Apart from the SahityaAkademi Award, Susmita has received many other prestigious awards like the UtkalSamman, the Prajatantra Award, the GangadharRath Foundation Award among many others. Mr Subroto Bagchi

Born at Patnagarh in Odisha, Mr Subroto Bagchi is the co-founder and non-executive Director of MindTree Limited where he started as the Chief Operating Officer in 1999. Under his leadership, Mindtree has grown from a technology startup to a $500+ million enterprise with more than 13,000 executives in 25 offices around the globe. Prior to being a Non- Executive Director, Bagchi served as the Executive Chairman of Mindtree from 2012- 2016. On May 1, 2016, at the invitation of the Chief Minister of Odisha, he took on the full-time role of Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority in the rank and status of a Cabinet Minister at an annual salary of Rupees 1.

Mr Bagchi is also India’s bestselling author of business books, with titles like The High Performance Entrepreneur, Go Kiss the World, The Professional and MBA at 16 to his credit. Ms Susmita Das

Ms Susmita Das is an eminent Odia singer and is one of the best known voices of eastern and central India. She is a regular artist with All India Radio, Doordarshan and many other private television and radio channels. She has more than 300 live performances. Her range of singing includes light musicals, semi-classical, devotional, folk and traditional.

Ms Das has created 12 original music albums in Odia and Hindi. Most of her songs are composed by Shri Om Prakash Mohanty, one of the leading music director from Odisha. The music albums are ‘Maya Darpan’, ‘Hati Saja Kara’, ‘Nua Luha Puruna Luha’, ‘Raag-Bairag’, ‘Radio-Days’, ‘Rubai’, ‘Gotie Sari’, ‘Hrudaya Ballabha’, ‘Seasons’, ‘Deha Videha’, ‘Madhura e Chanda Rati’ and ‘Kuch Dil Ne Kaha’. Ms Biyot Projna Tripathy

Ms Biyot Projna Tripathy is a noted media expert, film-maker and author. She has Produced/Directed more than 35 short films and documentaries. Her films have been screened in Amsterdam, London, USA, Nepal and other countries regularly. She won National Award in 2003 in non-feature film category. She is teaching media application and film studies in different institutes in India since 2002.

As a distinguished author and columnist, she has written poems, short stories and articles for leading Odia magazines and News Papers. She has authored 4 books. For her literary work and poetry, she has been awarded the ‘Gyanada Akhil Sahitya Samman’ and ‘Megha Samman’ respectively in 2009 at Bhubaneswar. She has studied M.A., L.L.B. and P.G. Mr Jayantha Seneviratne

Born at Colombo in Sri Lanka, Mr Jayantha Seneviratne is working as Translator-cum-Announcer, Sinhala Unit, All India Radio (AIR), New Delhi since 1991. Earlier he was employed at Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation as Program Producer from 1984-1990. After completing his B.A. from University of Kelaniya in Sri Lanka, he came India to pursue M.A. ( Buddhist Studies) from University of Delhi.

Mr P.Babu Rao Patro

Mr Babu Rao Patro is a Bhubaneswar based second generation entrepreneur of a 35-year-old family-owned rice business Utkal Traders, which was founded by his father Late Shri P. Syama Murty Patro, a pioneer of the modern day rice industry in Odisha. Mr Patro’s company is a major suppliers of rice to many wholesalers, institutions and traders.

Prof. (Dr) Gyana Chandra Kar

Dr Gyana Chandra Kar is a Former Professor and Head of the Department of Analytical and Applied Economics, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. In the 35 years long career as academic, research and professional economist, he had made significant contribution through association with renowned institutions like National Bank for Agricultural and Rural Development (NABARD), NKC Centre for Development Studies, Odisha State Pollution Control Board, Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI),Odisha State Finance Commission, Norwegian Agency for Development of Co-operations(NORAD) etc.

Mr Nabin Charan Narayan Das

Mr Nabin Charan Narayan Das is a former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Odisha. During 1995-2000, he was Minister for Panchayati Raj, Commerce, School & Mass Education respectively in Government of Odisha. He was also the Former Councilor and Chairman of Dhenkanal Municipality. Professionally he was an advocate who started his career in the District Court of Dhenkanal in Odisha. He is an active member of the political party Indian National Congress.

Ms Suvasini Mahakud

Mr Shailoja Shankar Singh Deo

Mr S.S. Singh Deo is an illustrious engineer and academician. He was the promoter of Ipisteel Limited, the first mini-steel plant in Odisha where he was the Managing Director from 1983-1992 and thereafter became its Vice-Chairman until 1999. Subsequently he set up an engineering college named Synergy Institute of Engineering and Technology at Dhenkanal, Odisha, in the year 1999 and was its Chairman & Managing Trustee for five years. Mr Sunil Kumar Dash

Mr Sunil Kumar Dash is a legal professional who is based out of Dhenkanal in Odisha. He is also a political activist currently serving Indian National Congress as the Vice-President of the District Committee of the party.

Ambassador Abasar Beuria

Ambassador Abasar Beuria had served in Indian diplomatic mission in Japan, Russia (formerly USSR), United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. He was critically involved as a member of the Indian delegation in bilateral and multilateral international talks including Non Alignment Summit, Commonwealth Heads of Governments Conference and G-77 Conventions etc.

Before joining the Indian Foreign Service, Mr Beuria worked as Bank officer and lecturer. He studied M.A. (Political Science) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and Bachelor of Arts degree from the prestigious Ravenshaw College, Cuttack in Odisha. He is presently residing in Bhubaneswar after retirement from service and is closely associated with leading socio-cultural and philanthropic organizations. Professor Kishore Kumar Basa

Prof. Kishore K. Basa is the Formerly Head of Department of Anthropology & Coordinator for the Centre of Advanced Study in Anthropology at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Earlier he was associated with prominent institutions as Formerly, Director, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal; Formerly, Director, Indian Museum, Kolkata and Formerly Director, Anthropological Survey of India. He was also the Former President, Archaeology Section of Indian History Congress and Former President, Anthropological and Behavioural Sciences Section of Indian Science Congress.

Prof Basa has done his Ph. D. from University of London on subject relating to early trade between India and Southeast Asia in 1991. As a distinguished scholar he is the recipient of the Indo-French Cultural Exchange Fellowship in 1997; Commonwealth Post-Doctoral Academic Staff Fellow at the University of Cambridge in 1999-2000; Prof. Ghanshyam Dash Memorial Gold Medal for 1st Class 1st in B.A. History (Hons.) Exam 1977 in Utkal University and Surajmal Saha Memorial Gold Medal for securing the 1st position in the whole of Odisha in H.S.C. Exam 1973. Besides, 9 students have been awarded Ph.
