The Second Governing Body Meeting of Kalinga Lanka Foundation

The second Governing Body meeting of Kalinga Lanka Foundation is held at the High Commission of Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 16th December 2014 at 11 am. H.E. Prof. Sudharshan Seneviratne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka attended the meeting as a Special Invitee. He also hosted the lunch for the Team KLF.

The meeting is attended by Ambassador Lalit Mansingh, Mr Debi Prasad Bagchi, Mr Jatin Das, Mr K Madhusudana Choudary, Ven. Sumiththananda Thero, Ms Alpana Nayak, Mr Roshan Wijesekera, Mr Harihar Patra and Mr Sameer Kumar Das. Mr Kapila Fonseka, Minister, High Commission of Sri Lanka participated in the meeting as an observer.

A delegate of Kalinga Lanka Foundation meeting the New High Commissioner

On 19th August 2014, a six-member delegation of Kalinga Lanka Foundation led by Mr Debi Prasad Bagchi, Former Chief Secretary of Odisha made a courtesy visit to the new ex-officio Patron-in-Chief of the Foundation, H.E. Prof. Sudarshan Seneviratne, High Commisioner of Sri Lanka in India. Members of the delegate include D P Bagchi, Harihar Patra, Alpana Nayak, Sameer Das, Roshan Wijesekera and Jatin Das.

Mr Bagchi proposed 5 areas of mutual cooperation (1) Cooperation in Tourism Development, Connectivity and Tourist Exchange (2) Education and Skill Development (3) Joint Research and Exploration in the Buddhist Heritage (4) Trade Relations in the field of Textile, Gems & Jewellery (5) Promotion of Art & Culture.

Launch of Kalinga Lanka Foundation on 29th May 2014 at High Commission of Sri Lanka, New Delhi

Kalinga Lanka Foundation was successfully launched on 29th May 2014 at a well attended function organized at the Sri Lanka High Commission in New Delhi by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka H.E. Mr Prasad Kariyawasam and Ambassador Lalit Mansingh who is the Founder President of the organization.

Among the dignitaries who spoke on the occasion were H.E. Mr Prasad Kariyawasam, High Commisioner of Sri Lanka, Ambassador Lalit Mansingh, Former Foreign Secretary of India, Shri Bhartruhari Mahtab, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri K.P.Singhdeo, Former Union Minister, Shri Subas Pani, Former Chief Secretary of Odisha, Prof. G.K.Das, Former Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University, Shri Jatin Das, Renowned Painter and Smt Alpana Nayak, Odishi Dance Exponent & Guru.
